Ardsollus Farm and Guesthouse is a fifth
generation family home. The house is set on a 120 Acre working
farm. Currently there is both a cattle and horse breeding
enterprise on the farm. Up until 2001 there was a 70 cow dairy
herd on the farm but in late 2001 the dairy herd was replaced
with a suckler herd. Currently there are approx 65 cows on the
farm, each year these cows produce a calf and these offspring
are kept on until they are weened and then they are sold in the
local mart. The Hannon family have long been associated with the
Horse industry and have show-jumped across Ireland including in
the famous RDS as well as in England representing Ireland. There are
hunting horses on the farm with the local hunting season running
from the 1st November to Mid March.
